Final Disposition at Trial – March 12, 2026

Accused: Anna Milani of Aurora, Ontario
Facts: On April 17, 2023, one charge under the Canada Elections Act, as well as two charges under the Criminal Code, were sworn in the Ontario Court of Justice, in the City of Richmond Hill. The charges resulted from an investigation into events surrounding the 43rd federal general election.
Offences: Under the Canada Elections Act, Anna Milani was charged with:
  • submitting a material statement that was false or misleading.

Under the Criminal Code, she was charged with:

  • committing theft of a value more than $5,000 by fraudulently and without colour of right, taking or converting money from an account at the Royal Bank of Canada associated with the electoral campaign of a candidate; and
  • committing theft of a value more than $5,000 by fraudulently and without colour of right, taking or converting money from an account at the Toronto Dominion bank associated with a Conservative electoral district association.
Plea: On July 21, 2025, Anna Milani pleaded guilty to the three charges.
Sentencing date: March 12, 2026
Sentence: Anna Milani received a six-month jail sentence, followed by two years of probation. The Court also granted a restitution order in the amount of $42,150.07.
